高校の期末試験Exemption（免除）

ノバスコシア州に留学中の高校生の皆さん。

いよいよ前期科目のExamウィークが始まりましたね。
9月から学んできたことを落ち着いて出し切って下さい！

先日から何人かの生徒さんから、試験のExemption（免除）のお問い合わせがありました。
各高校によって多少違いがありますので、詳しくは自分のコーディネーターさんや先生方に確認してください。

A student is eligible for an exam exemption if he/she has:
（試験免除には、下記の条件が必要となります）
A full semester enrolment in no fewer than 3 courses
（学期に3科目以上取っていること）
No more than six excused absences in each course.
（各教科において、理由の認められた欠席が6日までであること）
No unexcused absence in any course.
（理由の認められない、もしくは無断欠席がないこと）
No more than six lates in each course.
（各教科において、6回以上の遅刻がないこと）
Completion of all assignments, major tests and major pieces of evaluation in each course.
（各教科において、全ての課題の提出やテストなどを受けていたこと）
Never been suspended from school the semester of eligibility.
（一度も学校から停学処分を受けていないこと）

(注意書き）
The final decision on all exemptions is at the discretion of the Principal.
（最終的な試験免除の可否は、学長によってなされます）
It is student’s responsibility to regularly monitor his or her attendance in Power School.
（自身のパワースクールを常時確認し、出欠などに関し間違いがないか監視することは、生徒自身の責任となります）
Phone calls and written notes to excuse student absences must be made to the main office within 3 days of the student return to school.
（電話と欠席理由を書かれた紙の提出は、生徒が欠席期間を終えて学校に戻って3日以内にメインオフィスにて行わなければなりません）

この他、学校によって、試験免除に関するリクエストフォームなどがあるようですので、自分の通っている高校のウェブサイトから探したり、高校のオフィスでそのような用紙をあらかじめもらうようにしてください。
